Clive Christian, creator of the world’s most expensive perfume, was given the honour for services to the luxury goods industry.

Employers in Cheshire East are being warned over workplace safety after new figures showed a rise in deaths and serious injuries.

Latest Health and Safety study shows two people died and there were 164 serious injuries in the borough in 2010-11.

Cheshire East Council has had reports of strong winds causing problems with bins which were left out this morning for collection.

The store, on Beam Street, joins dozens of others in the “Re:gift” scheme which offers people with unwanted Christmas presents the chance to give them a good home.

Staff and residents at Richmond Village Nantwich spearheaded the collection, which was boosted by employees at Sainsbury’s in Nantwich, local Cat Radio and Nantwich Police Station.

Nantwich Town striker Ben Mills was delighted to end his dry spell in front of goal in Boxing Day’s 2-0 victory over Stafford Rangers.

Mills (pictured) notched up his 11th of the campaign with a powerful header 30 minutes into the local derby with Rangers.
