Woman, 83, recovers after lorry accident in Nantwich car park

An 83-year-old woman who was hit by a lorry in Nantwich and trapped underneath, is still recovering in hospital.

The victim, believed to be from the Nantwich area, was knocked down when the HGV was reversing in a car park off Beam Heath Way, Nantwich.

Fourteen couples have been learning to dance for the last 13 weeks, including moves such as the waltz and the cha cha.

A Crewe man enjoyed a surprise windfall when an antique pocket globe found in his parents’ home sold for £18,800 at a Nantwich auction.

The celestial and terrestrial globe, less than three inches in diameter and dated from 1710, was the star sale at the Peter Wilson auction.

A woman was seriously injured today (April 28) after being trapped under a lorry in a Nantwich car park.

The victim had to be freed by fire crews and paramedics after the accident on Beam Heath Way, near Sainsbury’s off Middlewich Road.
