Nantwich Litter Group has benefited from the Societies Spectacular event after recruiting new volunteers.

Group members were encouraged by the public’s response to their stall which showed pictures featuring volunteers at work and typical litter problems.

Stapeley Grange Wildlife Centre bosses have urged people not to bring pets to an annual fun day after the mystery death of four foxes.

Tests are being carried out but the cause has not been established prior to tomorrow’s (July 1) fun day at the Nantwich RSPCA centre.

Ice the guinea pig was a model patient when Reaseheath College in Nantwich opened a new veterinary nursing room.

Ice, who has age-related problems, has been nursed back to health by students on a diploma for Veterinary Care Assistants.

Emma Timmis, 27, a fully-fledged RSPCA inspector, hopes to raise thousands for the RSPCA centre on London Road.

Stapeley Grange art exhibition opens at Weaver Hall Museum

Staff at Stapeley Grange Wildlife centre are taking a special art exhibition onto the road around Cheshire.

The ‘Wildlife Art Adventure’ display will be open to visitors at the Weaver Hall Museum in Northwich until January 2012.

The exhibition brings together the works of 10 wildlife artists from around the world with diverse styles reflecting the amzing variety of animals.
